Eye Therapy

Optometrists do more than just prescribe glasses or contact lenses: they are also like personal trainers for your eyes.

Eye therapy refers to exercise programs used to improve your visual performance. They can be used to strengthen lazy muscles, improve eye focusing muscle co-ordination or facilitate processing of visual information by the brain.

Often referred to as “behavioural optometry”, eye therapy aims to alter the behaviour of your visual system.

Eye therapy is mostly provided to children, however adults can also benefit from eye therapy. Our optometrists will assess your eye muscles as part of every comprehensive eye test, and can recommend a tailored program of therapy as required.
