It's lovely to have a new pair of glasses and usually we put a lot of thought into the selection of a frame and lens type to suit as many applications as possible. But what about sunnies? Once a prescription is needed, wouldn't be nice to continue wearing proper polarised sunglasses?
Or maybe a separate pair of reading specs for in bed? Who wants to sit up properly reading through multifocals when you can curl up with a pair of single vision readers?
We asked our team to come up with some more suggestions....
"Safety specs!" suggested Mark, who enjoys a bit of home maintenance and tinkering on his VW Beetle on the weekends.
"Gone fishing..." was Jeremy's response. He needs polarised fishing specs. Kerry's choice for an extra pair was easy - "I definitely need another pair of glasses in RED!" (Kerry has always rocked a beautiful red frame). Meg thought some separate glasses in her computer prescription would be handy for studying, and Kirily (buying for her son Campbell), thought a second pair of glasses to keep in his school locker would be much easier than chasing the one pair in and out of his school bag every day.
We had more ideas, from shooting glasses with yellow tints, through to music glasses set at the distance of a music stand, or sports goggles for playing squash and contact sports. So in short, if you've bought a complete set of glasses with us ('complete' means a frame and prescription lenses in one purchase), then we will put $100 towards another pair of complete prescription glasses for you when ordered within three months. Simple!
