What does an eye test cost?

Wills Street Eyecare is a private clinic and we believe in our social responsibility to keep our fees as fair and accessible as possible.

Providing Medicare eligibility criteria are met, bulk-billing of consultation fees is available for:

  • Concession card holders
  • Children
  • Full-time students

All other consultations will be billed a private fee that attracts a Medicare rebate.

First time comprehensive eye tests will have an “out of pocket” cost after the Medicare rebate of either $17 or $45.35, depending on your Medicare Rebate Eligibility.

An out of pocket $25 fee will also apply for digital photography, which is performed routinely on all adults.

If you would like further information about our fee structure, our staff are happy to discuss this with you.

Additional fees may be charged for:

  • Digital photography
  • OCT retinal scanning
  • Foreign body removal
  • Corneal mapping topography
  • Lacrimal lavage (tear duct probing)
